Farheen Akbar is an Electrical Engineer with 8 years extensive experience in O&G facility design (both in green and brown field), energy audits, utility bill analysis, new construction commissioning and retrofit in industrial, commercial spaces and educational facilities. She possesses a wide variety of expertise in operations, EPC, manufacturing and architectural projects. She brings a diverse set of skill sets to the table and is committed to delivering high quality results.
Farheen is an advocate of energy efficiency and sustainable energy development. She is very passionate about optimizing facility performance, conserving natural resources and reducing operating expenses by designing energy efficient systems. Over the last few years Farheen has presented to oil and gas companies, commercial facility managers, boards and to other discipline Engineers on effective strategies for implementing energy efficiency into design and operations to reduce GHG. Currently, Farheen is working as an Electrical and Control Engineer at Gas Liquids Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA. Recently she has joined AEE as board of director to promote energy efficiency in various industries.
As past co- chair of Women in Leadership, a National non-profit where she demonstrated success in profitably driving growth through strong leadership, insightful strategic planning, finding innovative ways to promote success of the chapter and by building strong networks. She led an executive committee consisted of 18 industry professionals with versatile background.
